Here are some reviews and Thank you's from clients and music fans from allsorts of events over the last couple of years. Snappa are always grateful to hear from you.
Just thought I'd drop you a quick message now we've all sobered up! Thank you so much for providing such great tunes at our wedding at Quantock Lodge last week. Our friends and families have not stopped telling us how great the band were and how great the set list was! So thanks once again, it was such a fantastic day/eve and having such a great band for the evening reception really made the day! Carly and Pete.
Just a quick email to thank you all for Friday. Everyone thought you were awesome, the range of songs and the quality of the music was brilliant. I know we were a small party but everyone had a great time. Thank you for your professionalism as well. I wish you all well for the future. Best Wishes Yvonne
We just wanted to say thank
you so much for playing at our wedding. We all had a fantastic time - it
was perfect for the occasion- we absolutely loved it!!!. The dance floor was
constantly full! Look forward to coming to see you play again soon. Laura and
Simon
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your gig at Stoke St
Gregory on Friday. I've seen you a few times now at the Newt, pub and parties in
and around North Newton and its always a fantastic night out. I defy anyone not
to want to dance... you do a great range of songs and your music is fabulous.
'Dear Prudence' is my long-standing favourite, but this time I thought your
version of Gloria was amazing, and I absolutely loved Chasing Cars at the end.
Thanks! Elaine
Thank you so much for such an
awesome evening. You went down an absolute storm, loads of compliments and
exactly the kind of music we were looking for. Mick, you took it in hand to get
everyone dancing and expressing their best moves. You have a beautiful way with
guests. We so wanted to have live music at our wedding 'cos music has been a big
part of our lives together so far. You totally made our night, even encouraging
Charlie and Russ (the best man) to perform some grooves on the dance floor -
priceless! Thanks also for your help with co-ordinating my dance with my Dad -
it was one of the most important times I have spent with my Dad and will be
remembered for ever and ever. Dad and I used to dance to that tune in the
kitchen - it was great to have the whole dance floor!
You picked exactly the right play list and kept energy going right through the
night. We will be joining you for some of your future pub gigs and look forward
to getting you to play at one of our wedding anniversaries in the future! Thanks
Snappa - you absolutely rock!!!
Best of luck for the future - any bride and groom wondering whether to book you
should totally go ahead - you were incredible.
Best Regards Mr and Mrs H!!!
It's just over a month since our wedding and we wanted to express our thanks to you for a great performance at our reception at the Langstone Cliff Hotel in Dawlish. After a big Friday night and a long Saturday in the sun with lots to eat and drink, we thought it might take quite an effort to get many people on the dance-floor , but you managed it pretty much from the start! Not having had the chance to see you perform before the day, we had had to rely on a few online testimonials and the MP3s on your website to give us an idea what to expect. We're very pleased to say that you exceeded our expectations with a very polished performance, great interaction with the crowd (including our Best Man joining you on stage thinking he was Bez) and a wide range of songs that got pretty much everyone dancing at some point! We hope that you enjoyed yourselves too - you seemed to be having fun on stage - and that the trip home wasn't too long? Thanks once again for your part in creating the wonderful memories we now have of our whole Wedding Weekend! I would definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a quality band to perform at their event! Martin. H
Hi Matt, Mick and Stuart, Just wanted to say thank you for the entertainment you provided at Laura and Simon's wedding reception party last Saturday night. It was great and what you played was absolutely right for the occasion. Guests have been very complimentary about the whole day, and especially complimented us on the choice of band. Despite the rain everyone (including ourselves) had a really good time. Hope you enjoyed being part of our celebrations too. With best wishes, Pam and Tim W (Laura's parents)
I would just like to say thank you for your excellent performance on Saturday night. I thought you sounded brilliant, really catered to our needs and were extremely helpful and professional throughout. All guest's comments towards you were extremely positive and we would definitely keep you in mind for bookings or recommend you in the future. Once again, many thanks. Daniel F, Glastonbury Rugby Club Dinner and Dance.

Loads of guest asked us where we found you, so we hope you get some more bookings from all the great feed back we have had about you. Next time we have a party we will be in touch!!!Many Thanks Clare & Mike (Wedding)
Just
wanted to drop you guys a line and say how good we thought you were last night,
in my opinion you were better than Guns2roses! Their sound quality was a bit off
i thought, you guys were spot on, will be looking out for you on the circuit
from now on. Cheers, Colin (New Snappa fan) (Snappa supporting top Guns and
Roses tribute band at the Palace Night Club)
I just have to say that my
boyfriend took me to see you in Burnham on Sea last year, as he had been raving
about you for ages and has been to see you lots of times, and I thought you were
fab!!
We are both in our early fifties and enjoy a good rock band, Many Many thanks.

Thank you very much for a brilliant night in Cossington on Saturday. Everyone really enjoyed it. Hope to come and see you play again soon, Sue (birthday girl)
I'm listening to your
demos at the moment, and wow! They are fantastic. I saw you down in Somerset
a couple of years ago at my sister-in-law's wedding anniversary party.
Thought you sounded great then and these demos confirm you still do. Hope to
see you again one day. Keep on rocking ... M. Daisley
I just wanted to drop you a note to say thanks so much for playing at our wedding the other week. We thought you guys were fantastic and really added to the occasion. Will and Lisa
Thank you so much for
all your hard work on Saturday night - I know it wasn't the easiest gig with
such a diverse group of people all with very strong musical opinions - but
you played brilliantly and were charming and fun with everyone. Thanks
again for your professionalism, flexibility and sense of humour - you were
great and I will definitely book you again! (Please make sure you learn I
love to Boogie by then!!!!) Please pass on my thanks to the other guys
too. - Lisa. J Dinner and dance
Thanks Snappa
for a fabulous party last night in Wiltshire. We were finishing our very
smart dinner at the Ball, when suddenly we recognised the opening chord to
Teenage Kicks - our favourite song ever. From then on it just stayed
brilliant all night, and it was funny to see some of the (much) older set
dancing politely with a rather surprised expression to Billy Idol and the
Kaiser Chiefs. I trashed my beautiful party dress which was designed
to pose elegantly, not rock to the Chilli Peppers and the Killers, but it
was worth it. Hope to see you again soon! From Fiona and Tim (aged 46
and a quarter and 43 and half).
Thanks Snappa for a super night, u guys were fantastic, managed to please all ages! Made it a really great night for us, thanks again, and don't stop playing. - Cynthia B 18th Birthday Party
As best man at my brothers wedding i was dreading all my duties including giving a speech and taking care of the band, but i must say you were very professional and very entertaining unlike my speech which was a disaster!. It was such a relief to see a band at a wedding that wasn't cheesy playing the same old rubbish like "Mustang Sally" and "Angels". You played a great selection of songs which seemed to please everybody and it was like we were at a real rock concert with everybody singing and dancing. Loved it! - James.
Hi all, just wanted to say a massive thanks for playing at r wedding last week.Everybody commented how good you were. Thanks for helping out at the last minute and we must apologize for all the stairs. You were great. Thanks. Laura and Matt
Just wanted to say a huge big thank you for Saturday night. We have had so many complements on the evening but mostly people asking where we found you guys, so many of our friends said they thought you were fantastic, and not too loud! I have to say that from the first email I knew you would be reliable, very professional and very sensitive to our expectations. We cant thank you all enough. - Heather Tanner
Just saw that it was possible to post a comment on your site, and so ive decided to take advantage of that! Having been introduced to you by Naffa( your most dedicated fan...and my luverly boyfriend =] ) back in the beginning of the summer, I have so far been to two of your gigs - the most recent one being the Cross Rifles gig - and I'd like to say that it was absolutely amazing - you guys are the best live act that I have seen without a SINGLE doubt - I danced the whole night because I seriously couldn't stop - you all have such an amazing energy + amazing talent - the fact that you're all so down to earth just makes me love your band all the more !!! I'd just like to say thanks for making such awesome music accessible to little college students like me !!! Gabrielle XxX
We saw you last Friday the 23rd at Sam's birthday and thought you were about the best cover band we have ever heard! - Les T
Hi, just wanted to say a huge thank you for a brill gig. U guys were amazing and everyone enjoyed it! thanks again. -Rose.D -Yarcombe and district young farmers ball.
Thanks for a great night, amazing sound. I felt really sorry for Rex,the DJ, who had to try and follow you.Any CD's available? - John P
Thank you all so much for a really fantastic experience on Saturday night. You really did a brilliant job and so many guests have commented on your charisma and ability. You made the event very memorable for everyone, and one of the more conservative guests who was ripping up the dance floor told me (and I quote) "I had not danced for over 12 years before tonight!!!!" I am sure that you will get a lot more bookings in this part of the world in the future, as I have already passed on your details to two of our guests. Many thanks again. - Ash S
Two out of three The Railway Inn, Burnham-on-Sea on Sat 8th Dec 07
A packed Railway Inn (4 miles from the nearest station as I found out the last time Snappa played here!) gave the band the kind of support they deserve and they certainly rose to the occasion. Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, The Monkees, Simon and Garfunkel, Kaiser Chiefs, The Beatles, Hendrix, T Rex, Greenday, The Who, Billy Idol and many more come alive as Snappa apply their characteristic magic to some classic tracks. Talented, modest and two out of the three old enough to use aftershave. See the New Year in at The Hairy Dog, Minehead, on New Years Eve with three local heroes. Thanks for the free music boys.

What a band - didn't think this was my type of music at first, but when they played Billy Idol's "White "Wedding" it was amazing. I knew all the songs that they sang - there was also a good mix of old and new, I've never heard a band that can sing and play so well together. The lead singer has an amazing voice - snappa could go all the way.

Wonderful gig - we were so impressed with Snappa. A bit 'Leftfield' at times, also occasional hints of 'Drums and Bass', which I love. Snappa played some old tunes (often the not so usual ones) so well but 'differently'. I loved the strong rhythms from the lead guitarist. The bass playing for me again was a bit different - very rich and thumpy! I imagine some chunky amps present. Mr Drummer holding the thing together so well. A fabulous combination, we will be coming to watch again very soon. (I loved the alternative 'Come Together' with different bass lines ) and what a 'cool' image!

SNAPPA at The Railway, Burnham On Sea, 11th August
When I heard that our local rock heroes Snappa (a group that appear to consistently strive to be interesting and hard-to-define) were to play at the Railway, I couldn’t help wondering how they would go down. Wasn’t this a hangout for scantily-clad teens whose diet of choice was Alcopops and Little Miss Dynamite?
The band gave us their customary starters, twin tales of youth trauma Teenage Kicks and Ever Fallen In Love With Someone (You Shouldn’t’ve …): ideal material for singer/bassist Mick’s charmingly sneering style. These were followed by a rollercoaster ride through rock, pop and reggae epics, all a fine showcase for guitarist Stuart’s virtuosity and skill: one minute dipping into the 60’s with Jimi Hendrix’s Fire; shooting back up to the 90’s with Cigarettes And Alcohol by Oasis, The Verve’s Lucky Man and Bohemian Like You (The Dandy Warhols); and then dropping sharply into the 70’s with Telegram Sam. This was followed by crowd pleaser Honky Tonk Women, a point in the show at which band followers are often heard to be shouting and stamping for Joy (Russell, that is), a regular and highly popular guest vocalist. However, on this occasion, I was left open-mouthed by Matt (drums) and his searingly strong (and high) backing vocals. The first set finished with the perennial All Along The Watchtower, packed with a feast (for those that crave this sort of thing) of feedback and extended drum solos.
Act Two was, as Mick declared, a proper Partyfest, a line-up of numbers with Punch, Swagger, and most of all Attitude – always an ingredient in Snappa’s clever choice of music, and substantially added to by the band themselves: Substitute, Come Together (complete with those backwards rhythms), Toots and the Maytal’s Ska standard 54-46 Was My Number (‘Picked this one up on our recent tour of the Caribbean,’ said Mick with his infectious smirk), Walk On The Wild Side, 20th Century Boy, Gloria, I Saw Her Standing There, Sympathy For the Devil, and wild, party atmosphere versions of Mrs Robinson and I’m A Believer. The encore – the landlady’s choice – of My Generation also contained a fine moment of audience involvement: “Why don’t you all…”shouted Mick, “FUCK OFF!” cried back the demure crowd, with obvious relish. After all, what right-thinking adult doesn’t enjoy the chance to swear in unison?
Another great evening for SNAPPA. This band would stand out on any pub/covers band circuit for their humour and confidence, ability, magnetic stage presence and eclectic choice of music.
Some of the fantastic covers that they often play, but didn’t on this particular evening, include: Back in the USSR and Rain by the Mop Tops (the latter, an inspired and much missed selection), Song 2 by Blur, the very dark Gimme Shelter and Elvis Costello’s Pump It Up. DON’T MISS YOUR NEXT CHANCE TO SEE THEM!
